The Master of Science Ignacio Sánchez Rodríguez, completed his Middle Level studies Higher in Vocational School 6 of the IPN, Miguel Othón de Mendizábal, in the specialty of Clinical Laboratory Technician. His higher studies were carried out in the career of Marine Biologist, at the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine Sciences (1977-1982) dependent on the IPN. He was hired as a Research Professor at CICIMAR in 1983, where he worked his whole life. In his teaching work at CICIMAR he collaborated in the Ecology courses del Bentos, Selected Topics of Seaweed and Production Systems in Aquaculture. He belonged to the IPN Graduate Society, IPN Professionals, Botanical Society de México, Sociedad Ficológica de México, now the Sociedad Mexicana de Ficología y la Phycological Society of Latin America and the Caribbea.
