Dr. Víctor Hugo Cruz Escalona was born in Mexico City in 1971. His interest in the study of Biology motivated him to pursue this career at the Iztacala National School of Professional Studies of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, completing his studies in 1996. In his last stage of training, he oriented his interest towards the study of marine ecosystems and their species, developing as his thesis work "Trophic aspects of the Triglidae Family in the accompanying fauna of the shrimp of the Alvarado continental shelf , Ver. ”, As a Scholarship Holder of the Undergraduate Thesis Scholarship Program for High Performance Students of UNAM (ProBeTeL), under the direction of his Master Jonathan Franco López, obtaining Honorable Mention.
