Abstract

We present the second and third records in 25 years of the Collared Goose (Branta bernicla nigricans) in Nayarit, Mexico. January 24 2010 we observed and photographed three specimens goose juveniles on a shrimp farm located in the neighborhood of San Blás. One of them (male) was tagged the previous summer in the NW from Alaska. On December 14, 2010, two juveniles were observed in Laguna Las Garzas, north of Nayarit.
